Listed Grade II of Special Architectural or Historic Interest, Oak Farm is believed to date back to the 16th century and is constructed from a fine oak timber frame on a brick base with rendered colour washed elevations under a long pitched peg tiled roof. Internally the house, which has been extended over the centuries, provides numerous period features that include exposed beams and close studwork, oak panelling, mullion windows, open fireplaces with impressive surrounds and over mantels, stone and oak floors and well proportioned rooms with good ceiling heights. There is an impressive vaulted dining hall and the kitchen is fitted with shaker style units. The house displays some of the very finest features of the period and is also mentioned in Pevsner's book of Suffolk houses as the best farm house in the curtilage of the village.
