    About this property

    • Sene Farmhouse is an outstanding Grade II listed country house which is believed to date from the 18th century with later additions. The property has evolved over the years and retains in part its attractive Georgian façade and occupies an enviable setting with views to the south over Sene Valley Golf Course and beyond to the sea.

The house has been completely refurbished creating elegant living accommodation, whilst retaining a wealth of period features with the accommodation amounting to in excess of 6,800 sq ft.

Beautifully proportioned principal reception rooms over the upper ground floor are interconnecting, creating a perfect suite of rooms for entertaining. They enjoy differing garden aspects and include a drawing room, a formal dining room, a sitting room with direct access to a balcony, a family room with outlook to the walled garden and an orangery with air conditioning, rain and heat sensors and under floor heating.

The bespoke fitted kitchen/breakfast room is a lovely room with windows to three sides and equipped with an extensive range of cupboards and central island. Appliances include a rangemaster, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer.

Additional reception rooms on the lower ground floor include a beautiful beamed reception hall with wood burning stove, a further family room currently used as a cinema room and a library. Also on this floor is a secondary kitchen/utility room, a shower room and boiler room.

Over the first and second floors are a total of six double bedrooms, two bathrooms and a shower room, fitted with Villeroy & Boch or LeFroy Brooks sanitary ware. The principal bedroom suite is a lovely room with southerly views to sea. There is a dressing room and large luxuriously fitted bathroom with freestanding bath tub.

      Cottage
Sene Farm Cottage, formerly understood to have been the old coach house, is located midway along the sweeping approach and has a private garden to the rear with terrace and parking. Having been refurbished in 2018 it benefits from underfloor heating to a number of rooms and comprises a sitting room, a fully fitted kitchen/dining room with doors to a conservatory and two first floor bedrooms together with a bathroom and en suite shower room.

      Gardens & Outbuildings
Sene Farmhouse is approached through electric wrought-iron gates with stone pillars to either side. Lawns and period-style lamp-posts flank the drive which sweeps up to the north side of the house and a paved parking area with central fountain.

The gardens provide a lovely setting for the property with terrace to the south, lawns, a cascading water feature, curved steps lead up via the old granary to a formal walled garden with pergola, central path lined with bay trees and greenhouse. The gardens are well stocked with a variety of mature trees including oak and horse chestnut, shrub beds and under planted with spring bulbs.
