Purleigh has a very popular pub/eatery - The Purleigh Bell, a village hall, community shop and a primary school. The village is also home to New Hall Vineyards. The nearby village of Cold Norton has a very popular primary school, a golf course, village hall and public house. The neighbouring golf course has function rooms and a state-of-the-art gymnasium.
