    Additional information

    • Built in the late 1800's and one of the first houses built on Brennanstown Road after Brennanstown House, the property was originally known as Druid's Hill according to the historic OSI maps which is a reference to the historic Brennanstown Dolmen, an impressive portal tomb located nearby.
    • The property was previously owned by Seamus McGrath of the famous McGrath horse racing dynasty, who grew up in the nearby Cabinteely House which was purchased by his father in 1933. He was the eldest son of Joseph McGrath, founder of the Irish Hospitals Sweepstakes and owner of The Irish Glass Bottle Company.
    • Seamus started training his father's national hunt horses at their stables at Glencairn Stud in 1942. The stud was famed for raising Orby who became the first Irish-trained horse to win the Epsom Derby in 1907. In 1943, he won his first race with a horse named Tayanglet and subsequently renamed his house on the Cabinteely estate (now Cabinteely Park).
