  • Glen Carraig is set in a wonderful elevated position with magnificent open aspects to the Isle of Shuna, Morven peninsula and Lismore island. The sought after village of Port Appin lies on the coast just north of Loch Creran as it meets the sea. It has two respected sea food restaurants and is the terminal for the Lismore passenger ferry.

Port Appin is known for excellent sailing, sea kayaking, paddle-boarding and is home to the Community skiff. The hillwalking and mountaineering opportunities in the area are spectacular.   • Directions: From Glasgow, travel west on (A82). At the top of Loch Lomond turn right at the village of Tarbert and continue along the (A82) through Ardlui to Crianlarich. Continue on the (A82) at Tyndrum sign-posted Fort William. Go through Glencoe and Ballachulish. Take the 2nd exit at the roundabout sign posted (A828) Oban. Pass Stalker Castle and into Appin. After the police house and garden centre take the first right turn sign-posted Port Appin, Lismore Ferry.
