About this property

  • This charming Grade II listed converted barn occupies an enviable and most private setting having previously formed part of Bridge End Farm. Converted into a modern dwelling in 2007 it is set within beautiful rolling countryside and is surrounded on two sides by open fields, with impressive views fanning out over the sunny gardens and the farmland beyond.

Thought to date from the late 1800's it now benefits from a contemporary style with a mix of brick, exposed stone walls and timber-clad elevations. Other features include solid oak floors to the sitting room and hall. The house is arranged over two floors with the majority of the accommodation on the ground floor, making it easily accessible due to the pragmatic layout.

The 2767 sq ft of space is attractively presented and is furnished with a range of modern conveniences including underfloor heating, a range cooker, large built-in wardrobes and engineered wood floors.

The accommodation comprises an entrance hall with cloakroom, a sitting room, open plan kitchen/dining room with adjoining utility room, two ground floor bedrooms, both with en suite facilities, and a study.

The first floor consists of two further bedrooms, of which the principal bedroom enjoys use of an en suite, in addition to a well appointed family bathroom.

The shared tarmacadam drive leads to a spacious driveway which affords parking for numerous vehicles, beyond which is a spacious garage.

The gardens are a fantastic extension of the property and are principally laid to lawn with a host of mature trees, shrubs and plants. The far-reaching rural views are of particular attraction and can be enjoyed by a number of idyllic seating areas.

I really love The Wain House, the wonderful and spacious kitchen is the ideal space to enjoy social gatherings, or a solidary drink whilst enjoying the fantastic view!
