About this property

  • Glebe Farm House is a charming attached red brick former farmhouse possibly dating from the mid C18th with accommodation over three floors. The current owners have been in residence for over 30 years. The property has some lovely features such as many rooms having a double aspect with aluminium double glazed windows, high ceilings, stripped timber doors and exposed beams. A pathway leads from the parking area, through the garden to the front door which is at the rear of the property.

There is an entrance hall with pretty tiled floor which in turn leads to both reception rooms, and a cloakroom with hatch and steps down to the cellar. The sitting room has a double aspect and attractive fireplace with woodburner. The dining room also has a double aspect, and a French oak floor, a fireplace and steps down to the kitchen/breakfast room. This leads to the south facing conservatory, and a secondary staircase leads up to the study with a heavily beamed ceiling and a window to the rear.

On the first floor lie two bedrooms both with Victorian fireplaces, the main bedroom has a double aspect and fitted wardrobes. Also on this floor is the family bathroom. On the second floor are two further bedrooms, both with vaulted beamed ceilings and velux windows and some lovely hill views, plus a cloakroom.

The gardens lie to the rear of the property and are south facing, level, and mainly laid to lawns with flower and shrub borders and a well. Beyond the lawned areas is the brick built workshop with power and light and covered patio or working area to the side. Note: we understand this building has been designed so that it can also be used as a garage, with the provision of a lintel over the window to accommodate a garage door.
The property is offered with no onward chain.
