It is situated approximately two miles south of the small historic market town of Clare which offers a good range of day to day services. It is particularly close to many other attractive villages including Cavendish, Long Melford and Lavenham. A wider range of services are available at Sudbury, Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge and Newmarket all of which offer extensive shopping, schools, cultural and leisure facilities.
