About this property

  • Grade II listed Nazeing Park was built in 1797 by the Palmer family. It was extensively remodelled around 1814. Nazeing Park is now in need of a comprehensive renovation throughout.

Set on a hill in the heart of its rolling estate, Nazeing Park is an instantly impressive house with two octagonal wings and five slender Ionic pillars lending elegance to its front elevation.

The property enjoys a secluded position and offers light and spacious family accommodation, perfect for entertaining, with the principal rooms overlooking its well maintained gardens and enjoying far reaching views of the parkland.

The approach to Nazeing Park is through electric gates via a long tarmac driveway, and the newly installed drive through the park.

The layout and dimensions of the accommodation can be seen in further detail on the floorplans.

Local information

  • This impressive Grade II listed house is ideally positioned and fronts onto its own parkland. Located on the Essex/Hertfordshire border, Nazeing Park is only 0.2 miles from the historic village of Nazeing. The village appears in the Doomsday book as 'Nazinga', and has been spelt in many ways through the years: Nasing, Nasinges, and Nesingan.
  • Harlow, which was developed around the old villages of Harlow, Great Parndon, Latton, Little Parndon and Netteswell, can be reached in 4.3 miles. Hertford is 14 miles away, famed for its labyrinth of medieval streets with many timber-framed buildings. Both towns offer excellent shopping and recreational facilities in addition to the good local shopping Nazeing.
  • Broxbourne Station (4 miles) offers direct railway service to London Liverpool Street from 27 minutes. There is also the London Underground Central Line accessible from Epping Station (7 miles).
  • Good local schools are numerous and include Haileybury College at Hertford, Queenswood, St Edmunds College (just off the A10), Heathmount, Hertford and Dame Johane Bradbury's School in Saffron Walden as well as Bishop's Stortford College.
  • Golf can be found nearby at Nazeing Golf Club and at Cannons Brook in Harlow, plus North Weald, Theydon Bois and The Epping Golf Course, all in Epping. Beautiful walking and riding are available on the many bridleways within the county, as well as in and around the considerable areas of National Trust Woodland, Hatfield and Epping Forest.
