  • Forest House is to the edge of the village of Sutton, on the northern side of the broads, with direct access to the network via Sutton Broad. The broad is owned by the RSPB and thus providing wonderful bird watching. Hickling Broad, the largest of the broads, is about 1½ miles away and has a nature reserve run by the Norfolk Naturalist Trust. Sutton village has a public house and primary school with local shopping facilities in the nearby town of Stalham, whilst Wroxham, the acknowledged centre of the Broads Network, is 9 miles. Norwich, the cathedral city and regional centre of East Anglia, is about 18 miles to the southwest with excellent transport links and a thriving retail, cultural and education sectors. There are fine sandy beaches along the northeast Norfolk coast which is about 3 miles.
