  • Witherley is a village and civil parish in the Hinckley and Bosworth district of Leicestershire. The Warwickshire/Leicestershire border runs along the parish boundary, along the River Anker to the west and the A5 to the south, with Witherley village close by the town of Atherstone. It has St Peters church with its very tall steeple, a Primary School with secondary schooling in nearby Market Bosworth, Atherstone and Twycross. There is a family pub which has live music in the summer and the village green has pétanque and children's play equipment and this is where the village hosts celebrations such as coronation/royal weddings etc, and weekly football. The village is also famous for it's duck race on August bank holiday on the Anker river which runs past the church. The house has a decking area by the river too.
