    About this property

    • This spectacular contemporary home is set in an idyllic elevated position at the head of Pill Creek, a tidal creek, providing access to the world famous sailing waters of the Carrick Roads.

Surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, with many mature trees, that lead down to a steam which flows into the creek. The property dates from the early 1930's and has more recently been refurbished and extended to create a most impressive and versatile home, finished to exacting standards throughout.

The current owners have recently modernised the house throughout to create a truly impeccable finish. The accommodation, which is arranged over three floors, offers a versatile layout and has been designed to take full advantage of the south west facing façade, which opens on to the gardens and a magnificent sun terrace, enhancing the inside/outside lifestyle and fabulous entertaining spaces. Details of the room dimensions and layout can be seen from the floor plans.

The south west facing gardens have been beautifully landscaped with various terraces, stone walls, flower beds and paths that meander down to the stream at the bottom of the garden that feeds into the creek. Below the first-floor sun terrace is a further paved terraced area with hot tub that in turn leads on to an area of grass with steps down to another decked area. At the bottom there is a fenced off area with a water garden and stream running through to the creek and a small pond.

The property is accessed off Pill Lane via electric gates on to a paved driveway that leads past the house to a covered parking area, with space for four cars and access to the large store/boiler room with up and over electric doors.

    Local information

    • Pill Lane, one of south Cornwall's most desirable locations will appeal to those seeking tranquillity and boating adventures. Loe Beach and Mylor Harbour, both within a short distance, provide sailing and watersports facilities along with a clubhouse, cafes and restaurants.
    • Much of the surrounding countryside is owned and managed by the National Trust, including nearby Trelissick Gardens, and is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with numerous country and creek-side coastal walks to enjoy. There are good local golf courses within easy reach including Killiow and Truro Golf Club and of course many sailing clubs throughout the Carrick Roads.
    • The cathedral city of Truro, only five miles away, is the administrative centre of Cornwall and offers a very good range of both state and private schooling and mainline rail links to London Paddington. It has a good mix of both high street and independent shops, restaurants, coffee shops, bars along with a cinema, art galleries and the newly refurbished (due to re-open this year) theatre ‘The Hall for Cornwall'.
    • Further down the coast is the vibrant harbour town of Falmouth which, along with its excellent university, has a great selection of restaurants as well as yacht clubs and marinas, sandy beaches and the landmark National Maritime Museum.
    • Communications to Cornwall have vastly improved over recent years with the newly upgraded A30 dual carriageway just north of Truro giving fast access to the M5 motorway at Exeter. Cornwall Airport (Newquay) also provides regular flights to London as well as routes to many other UK and European destinations.
