About this property

  • Burford Lodge is an imposing double-fronted property quietly situated on the edge of the town and as such benefits from glorious views of rolling countryside. Internally the well-proportioned and versatile accommodation is laid out over two floors with large windows which allow light to flood in.

The property has recently been refurbished to a high standard and offers a generous entrance hall with stairs rising to large landing with space for a study or reading area. There is a double aspect sitting room with French doors leading to a paved south facing terrace, a dining room (currently used as a studio) with impressive square bay window and a well-proportioned kitchen/dining room with views over the garden and a door leading to a utility room. There is a good sized third reception room currently used as a study.

Upstairs the double-aspect principal bedroom has a range of fitted cupboards and a fantastic en suite bathroom with roll top bath and walk in shower. The guest bedroom suite also has a range of fitted cupboards and an en suite shower room. There are two further bedrooms and a family bathroom with bath and separate shower.

The principal garden, which is predominantly surrounded by a high stone wall, lies to the rear of the property and contains a patio area, specimen trees and flower beds. A detached double garage lies to the west of the property. The property is spacious and well-appointed and is ideally situated for local schools and the town's amenities.

Burford Lodge is both practical and very stylish - perfect! I particularly like the setting on the edge of the town.
