About this property

  • 34 High Street is a delightful family home set within an elevated position in the picturesque village of Castleton, situated in the stunning North York Moors National Park.

The property was built around the 1950's and was used as the local police house for about 40 years. The current owners have modified and extend the property to create a family home.

To the ground floor there is a superb dining room opening on to the living room with a multi fuel burner as the focal point. There is a an office which could be used as the fourth bedroom that over looks the garden to the rear. There is a gallery kitchen that leads through to a utility room, storage and a shower room. The conservatory benefits from some of the best views to the rear over the garden and the countryside beyond. A large sliding door leads out on to the terraced decking with steps leading down to the patio below.

To the first floor are three bedrooms and a house bathroom.

The garden wraps around the property with mature hedginig defining the borders on two sides and a stone wall is situated along the western edge. The garden benefits from being west facing to the rear and there has been seating areas placed to enjoy the views and sunshine.
