  • Lechlade-on-Thames is a small market town, situated at the southern borders of the Cotswolds where the rivers Coln and Leach join the Thames, steeped in history, for centuries Lechlade was one of the main trading arteries west of London by both road and river and has one of the first toll bridges on the Thames. Leisure boats have now replaced the trading vessels and the town is a popular mooring place with a large private marina for boats of all sizes, there is boat hire and many water sports can be found at the nearby Cotswold Water Park.
  • This popular riverside market town has an excellent range of facilities including a doctors surgery, the Church of St Lawrence, a butcher, greengrocer, supermarket, library, pharmacy, post office and a highly regarded primary school as well as many local clubs and societies. Lynwood coffee shop is particularly popular as well as Vera's. It is an excellent base for many Cotswold and river walks and plays host to the annual three day musical festival, featuring over 80 bands and performers. Primary and secondary schools can be found in the nearby town of Fairford and a more comprehensive selection of shops and amenities can be found at Witney and Cirencester, where there are also larger supermarkets, traditional pubs and other facilities.
  • Burford is just a short drive away, considered to be the southern gateway to the Cotswolds, it is one of England's prettiest and popular towns with St John the Baptist Church dating back to the 15th Century, it has well renowned primary and secondary schools, antique shops and a wide range of amenities. Cheltenham, Oxford and Bath are excellent cultural centres and are all within easy reach, communication links are excellent with the nearby A40 giving access to the M4 and M5 motorways whilst Swindon railway station provides a regular and direct service to London Paddington in approximately 60 minutes.
