About this property

  • A Georgian style detached family house constructed circa 1980 discreetly tucked away and with secured gated entry. Marlow has an impressive frontage and is symmetrical in design and stands within ornamental gardens. Beautifully appointed and immaculately presented, this fine home enjoys plenty of solar gain with picture windows, welcoming circulation areas and a combination of open plan and more intimate space.

There is two storey accommodation with double door entry via the ornate porch. The large and welcoming reception hall has a galleried landing with loft space. A cloakroom and the principal rooms lie directly off. The drawing room has double doors from the hall and full length sliding doors over the rear garden. A feature fireplace, cornice and rose create interest. Adjacent is the study room perfect for those wishing to home work and there is also a cloakroom. The kitchen/living/dining room is the fulcrum of the home, open plan and with designated functions. Dual aspect and with fixed pane full length windows to the rear and side, bifolds extend over the sunny oriented rear terrace. The living/dining areas combine whilst the kitchen which is ergonomic in design, has recently been refitted. This includes a central island with breakfast bar, composite work surface and plumbing for a dishwasher. There are a range of wall and base units and integrated appliances. The utility has a tiled floor, Belfast sink and plumbing and a vent for a washing machine and dryer. Further doors provide access to the front elevation and the integrated double garage. The galleried landing on the first floor has loft access and a linen cupboard. The principal bedroom is dual aspect with built in wardrobes, an exposed timber floor and includes an en suite shower room. The guest bedroom is equally well appointed with fitted wardrobes and an en suite shower room. The remaining two bedrooms benefit from a more recently fitted family bathroom with a modern white suite.

Outside there are electrically operated gates providing security and parking. The double garage has an electrically operated up and over door. The front garden is ornamental with deep shrubberies around the periphery as well as some established plants and trees. To the side there is a Fernery and the rear garden is landscaped with a sunny terrace which enjoys the afternoon and evening sun. There are recently pollarded trees and shrubs around the periphery, a strip of lawn and dedicated seating areas to capture the various orientations.
