About this property

  • Rudway Barton is a traditional farmhouse which offers flexible accommodation over two floors and a range of outbuildings with much potential subject to the necessary consents. Requiring some modernisation throughout, but with the potential to create a wonderful family home. The main entrance is accessed via a footpath over a large level front garden and opens into a bright entrance hall/study with timber floor and large timber window overlooking the gardens. There is a well-proportioned reception room with marble fire surround, timber floors and large timber window overlooking the front garden. The wonderful, characterful sitting room enjoys triple aspect windows, half-timber panelled walls and an inglenook fireplace stretching across most of the end wall providing a wonderful focal point to this entertaining space. The double aspect kitchen/breakfast room overlooks both the front garden and rear courtyard. In addition on the ground floor, there is a useful store/pantry, WC, cloakroom and conservatory/garden room with much potential giving access to the part-walled rear garden.

Upstairs there are six characterful bedrooms with the principal bedroom offering a marble fireplace and large timber window overlooking the gardens. There are also five further well-proportioned bedrooms most with views over the gardens and a family bathroom with separate WC.

The property is accessed via a driveway to the side of the house where there are two single garages and parking for several cars. The property is surrounded by gardens on three sides offering much potential. There is an orchard, front garden and part walled rear garden with pond, small stone potting shed and greenhouse. To the side of the house, there is a stone single storey barn and open-fronted 4 bay barn offering great potential subject to any necessary consents. The main barn, brick built with corrugated roof is attached to the rear of the property and opens into the rear garden. With two storeys, this large barn offers much scope for improvement subject to any necessary consents.
