As A keen boater myself I just love the fact the property overlooks the marina. it would be amazing to overlook your own boat and would make using it so much easier, especially with all the other facilities that come with Burton Waters

Local information

  • The property is situated within the smaller Quays development on Burton Waters. A gated facility with CCTV and security patrols on the edge of a prestigious marina. With an excellent range of amenities, stunning scenery and a relaxed, laid-back lifestyle to boot. The marina has new and pre-owned boat sales, chandlery, workshop and moorings. Approximately four miles away lies the Historic City of Lincoln which offers several shops, restaurants, schooling, two universities, a train station (Kings Cross from 120 minutes).
  • Across the marina on the Landings are the Harbour Lights Bar & Kitchen, the Greek House restaurant and the Quayside Deli, a café. On the promenades there are a small number of office-based businesses such as solicitors, beauty salon and insurance brokers. Burton Waters is lucky enough to have its own David Lloyd health club. The Woodcocks Pub and Hotel serving pub grub is within the development alongside the Fossdyke Navigation, with visitor moorings, and has a beer garden.
  • For the boaters, the marina is situated on the Roman built Fossdyke Navigation (120 AD). On leaving the marina turning left will take you past the Pyewipe pub and into the centre of Lincoln at the Brayford Pool joining the River Witham. Navigating though the ancient Glory Hole (the oldest bridge in the UK with buildings on it) and past the Waterside Centre will bring you to Stamp End Lock a unique guillotine gated lock. From here the Witham takes you down to Boston and after the Grand Sluice lock you can navigate out to the Wash. Turning right on exiting the marina will take you via Saxilby to Torksey Lock that is the entry to the tidal Trent. Turning right on the Trent will take you up to the Humber Estuary. Turning left takes you to Cromwell lock where the Trent becomes non-tidal and then on to Newark, Nottingham and beyond.
  • For walkers, cyclists and joggers there is the Fossdyke Canal Trail that joins with National Cycle Route 64 into Lincoln. From Lincoln the National Cycle Route 1 will take you to Boston and further afield.
