  • Riverdell is situated on the banks of the Blackwater River just north of Bridge of Cally. The house is surrounded by some beautiful scenery. Kirkmichael (4 miles) has an active local community with two pubs and a village shop while Bridge of Cally (5 miles) has a shop/ post office and hotel. Blairgowrie (11 miles)has supermarkets, independent shops, restaurants and professional services including a medical centre. Perth (27 miles) has a more comprehensive selection of shops, restaurants, professional services and cultural opportunities. There is a primary school in Kirkmichael and secondary schooling in Blairgowrie.
  • Riverdell is ideally placed for those who enjoy the outdoors. The Perthshire hills and Angus Glens are popular with hill walkers and the picturesque Cateran Trail passes nearby. The ski slopes at Glenshee are about 14 miles north, with Braemar and Royal Deeside about 10 miles further north again. There are renowned golf courses at Rosemount in Blairgowrie, and other local courses at Alyth, Pitlochry and Dalmunzie. Stalking, shooting and fishing are all readily available locally.
  • Perth is easily accessible via Blairgowrie while the A9 at Pitlochry also links south to Perth and north to Inverness. There are railway stations at Pitlochry (with direct links to London and Inverness), Perth and Dundee. Dundee Airport has flights to London Stansted and both Edinburgh and Aberdeen airports have a wide range of domestic and international flights.
