  • Gartbeg is located in the pretty hamlet of Craigie which is situated above Clunie Loch and surrounded by rolling farmland. Being in an elevated position, the house has wonderful views over rolling fields to Clunie Loch and the hills beyond. Gartbeg has an idyllic rural location but is only four miles from Blairgowrie which meets most daily requirements with supermarkets and independent shops as well as professional and medical services. Dunkeld (nine miles west) is a picturesque and historic town known for its beautiful cathedral on the banks of the River Tay. Gartbeg is also within commuting distance of Perth and Dundee.
  • Gartbeg is ideally placed for people who love the countryside. It is in the heart of some of Perthshire's finest scenery and is within easy driving distance of the more dramatic Perthshire hills as well as the Angus Glens. The ski slopes at Glenshee are only about 25 miles north of Blairgowrie. Fishing is readily available on nearby lochs and rivers such as the Ericht, Isla and Tay and shooting and stalking can be taken on local estates. There are golf courses at Blairgowrie, including a championship course, together with three courses at Alyth and an 18 hole course at Dunkeld.

  • Directions: From Perth follow the A93 through Guildtown to Meikleour. After passing The Beech Hedge, turn left into Meikleour village, pass the Meikleour Arms on the right. Follow the road for another 2 miles and take a right turn onto the B947 signposted to Craigie, Blairgowrie and Lethendy. After less than a mile, turn left on the bend, signposted to Craigie. Follow this road for about 1.5 miles and at the red telephone box turn left into Craigie. The entrance to Gartbeg is 50m along on the right hand side.
