    About this property

    • Tweedside is a late 1920s detached home of immense character set back from The Green behind attractive hedging. It has been extended over the years and offers fantastic family living in a prime location.

Tweedside is approached over a gravelled driveway.

A canopied porch with a sturdy oak door opens into a part-panelled reception hall with cloakroom and stairs to the first floor.

The drawing room is double aspect with a feature open fireplace and opens into the dining room with doors to the conservatory and garden. The family room is just off the hallway and leads into the double aspect study with views over the front garden.

The kitchen/breakfast room is comprehensively fitted with an excellent range of matching wall and floor units with integrated dishwasher and a range cooker. A door opens into the conservatory and this in turn links with the dining room. The utility room has a range of cupboards and is located off the kitchen.

An oak staircase leads to the first floor and there is a built-in cupboard and loft access. The superb master bedroom is vaulted and has a dressing room and an en suite shower room. The guest bedroom is double aspect and features an en suite shower room too. There are three further bedrooms and a fabulous fully tiled family bathroom.

Outside – Tweedside is approached over a private side road into a wide gravelled driveway with parking for several cars.

The house is beautifully screened by mature hedging with a wrought iron pedestrian gate out onto The Green. The remainder has lovely well stocked borders with feature shrubs including a Camelia and a Wisteria to the front elevation.

The rear garden has a lovely covered terrace ideal for entertaining with lawn and well stocked shrub and flower beds and is enclosed by tall hedging on all sides. At the rear boundary is a lightly wooded area with an air raid shelter plus a Heritage Botanical greenhouse. The gardens provide a beautiful setting for this lovely family home on a plot in all of about half an acre.
