About this property

  • Sea House is a two bedroom property with a seafront location and stunning views across St Ives Bay. The private garden leads to three miles of golden sands and the South West Coast Path. The property was fully refurbished in 2020 retaining the original wood floors and ceilings of this former early 1900's tea rooms. The west facing terrace offers, on occasion, fabulous sunsets over St Ives. The property has great scope to extend to the rear and, or create an additional floor subject to gaining the necessary planning consents.

The front door opens from the gravelled driveway in to a open hallway off which all the rooms lead. Immediately on the right is a utility area which has slate tiled flooring, gloss grey wall and base cupboards with an integrated washing machine/drier all illuminated by an overhead Velux window. The two bedrooms have windows overlooking the front, one is a good sized double the other smaller and currently configured with bunkbeds. The hall leads down to the main living area with in advance, on the right the family bathroom. The bathroom has a quadrant shower and electric towel rail. The current owners, whilst refurbishing the property, have maximised the views out over St Ives bay with the addition of a set of both French and patio doors out on to the terrace separated by a large central window. On the right is the well equipped kitchen area which has matt grey wall and floor cupboards, space for a large fridge freezer and the following integrated appliances. Oven, microwave, induction hob and dishwasher. The living area benefits from a wood burner on a slate hearth. Our clients currently utilise the home as a holiday let, and would be open to negotiate on the sale of contents to provide a turn-key holiday home for the new owner.

    The Garden & Exterior

    The Front
The part paved, part gravelled driveway down from the road is owned by a nieghbour whilst the property enjoys a right of access across as much as reasonably required at any time. There is a space for one vehicle in front of the property. On the left of the porch is a small seating area and to the right a bin storage area.

    Rear Garden
The west facing garden has spectacular views out across St Ives bay to the town itself. There is a large granite paved terrace spanning the property with ample room for a large table and chairs. On the left is a stone BBQ and to the right an outdoor shower (cold). The garden itself is oblong, laid to lawn and slopes down towards the dunes with a mix of palms and hedging to the borders. At the end of the garden, steps descend to the south west coastal path and then just a few metres to the right is the Hayle Life Saving and Surf Club and opposite both steps and a ramp lead down to the Cove Café and the beach. The beach is less than one hundred and fifty metres from the house.
