    About this property

    • Estbek House Hotel is a handsome Grade II listed property within the heart of the village, originally built around 1750 for the use of the manager of the Alum works, in 1920 the property became a guest house.

This prominent property currently operates as an established and award winning restaurant and hotel, the layout of the house could be adapted, subject to the necessary planning consents, to be used as a family home. Over the last 18 years the owners have created an exceptional dining experience along with inviting rooms for guests to stay above the restaurant.

To the front there is a courtyard garden with an entrance to the lower ground floor featuring exposed beams and wood paneling, with a bar area to one side and open plan kitchen area with the latest equipment, separate preparation and cleaning areas. To the rear is the wine store along with general store that leads through to the rear courtyard.
The main restaurant area is on the ground floor and split over two dining rooms, with capacity for about 40 customers. On the same floor there are two customer toilets.

To the first and second floors are the impressive and sumptuous bedrooms, all with en suites. The bedrooms have been sympathetically refurbished by the present owners with wood paneling, exposed beams and granite worktops within the bathrooms.

To the rear is a flagged courtyard, beyond is an area of land that the current owners lease from the Mulgrave Estate. In addition to the land the owners also lease parking from the Estate which is situated across the bridge on the left hand side.
