About this property

  • Set up and back from the road, behind a stream and immaculate front garden, is this extremely pretty stone built detached house. Situated in the quintessential rural village of Gilling East the property offers fantastic views across over the village and the far reaching countryside beyond.

The original part of the house dates back to circa 1780 and has been much improved and extended over the years creating a wonderful home with just the right balance of well-proportioned rooms for a growing family or downsizing couple.

Entered through a bright and sizable entrance hall leading onto the principal reception rooms including a generous sitting room with log burner and French doors opening onto the sunny patio and a dining room. The bespoke fitted kitchen includes an Aga, plenty of storage space and two large windows overlooking the garden. Additional rooms include a utility room and a downstairs shower room.

On the first floor the spacious landing gives way to four double bedrooms, a house bathroom and separate WC. Bedroom two is currently fitted as a study but could easily double as a bedroom. All of the bedrooms offer their own individual stunning views.

One of the highlights of the property is the outdoor space, the gardens are all immaculately maintained and feature a large paved patio and lawned garden flanked by well-planted borders leading up to the woodland beyond. A stone outbuilding acts as excellent storage for garden equipment.

There is ample off street parking for several cars on the gravelled driveway and to the left of the property is a detached stone built garage and studio, currently used as an office.
