A handsome four-bedroom heritage-brick and Welsh slate country house with stables set in 10 acres of grounds with far reaching views

About this property

  • Glebe House is a wonderful detached country property, with immaculate accommodation and extensive outbuildings. The property, which was developed in 2016, combines handsome heritage-brick elevations outside with stylish and elegant accommodation inside, and an impeccable eye for detail throughout.

The ground floor has three comfortable reception rooms, with the welcoming reception room to the front featuring tiled flooring, a dual aspect and a handsome fireplace, fitted with a woodburning stove. The comfortable sitting room also has a dual aspect and a fireplace with a stove, while double doors connect with the splendid open-plan dining room and kitchen. The kitchen has shaker-style units in grey, granite worktops, a central island, integrated appliances and an Everhot range cooker. There is also a light and airy snug, with a bi-fold doors opening onto the rear garden, pantry, WC and boot/cloak room.

Upstairs there are four well-presented double bedrooms, including the generous dual aspect principal bedroom, which has its own large dressing room with fitted wardrobes, and a luxury en suite bathroom with dual washbasins, a bathtub, and a walk-in shower. Each of the three additional bedrooms are also en suite and provide fitted storage. The property enjoys under floor heating on both floors, has an alarm, CCTV and an EPC rating of B which is impressive in a house of this size.

The property is located at the end of a lane, approached via electric gates and surrounded by views of the stunning Lincolnshire countryside. There are approximately 10 acres of grounds, including fenced paddocks and open fields, while the house has extensive paved terracing to the rear and a well-maintained lawn. The outbuildings include an L-shaped brick-built building with a home gym, a study, a utility room and a cloakroom, in addition to a carport, dog kennels and storage space. There is also a large stables and garaging block, also constructed in brick and providing plenty of parking space, four Loddon boxes, wash box with hot water, heated tack room, and a covered, internal courtyard area for loading. The three double garages all have electric doors.

This has to be one of my all time favourite houses, a modern property built with traditional features and all the modern creature comforts, with no near neighbours and views across the Wolds, where did I put that lottery ticket?
