About this property

  • You are welcomed into the house via an inviting hallway which features a superb amount of elaborate and bespoke built in storage under the stairs.

The open plan double reception room provides both a formal seating area and children's play area, the ideal diverse space for families. Particular highlights of this lovely room are the ornate gas fireplace and smart wooden floorboards, not to mention the solid bi-folding double doors which means flexibility in either separating off part of the reception room from the hallway as and when desired.

The kitchen/dining room has been finished to an exceptional standard and enjoys access onto the garden beyond via full length glass bi-folding doors, to provide ease of entertaining. The kitchen/dining room boasts underfloor heating, an array of modern appliances and a wine fridge. A particular highlight is the bespoke Nest system for the heating which features motion sensors which has been cleverly installed in addition to the Sonos sound system.

The first floor contains the majority of the accommodation with there being three good sized bedrooms which each contain bespoke built in storage. There is also a family bathroom on this floor which enjoys underfloor heating.

The second floor has been converted into the guest suite which has access to a vast amount of eaves storage. There is also a cleverly built in home office area. The adjoining shower room is conveniently located off the corridor.

The low maintenance garden has been meticulously and cleverly designed on a slight slope so that when watering the garden via the automatic watering irrigation system the water runs away from the house. A further focal point of the garden
is the spot lighting throughout, which creates a secluded haven. Outside the front of the house is a bike store which has room to house four large bikes.

A lovely and welcoming family house in a highly sought after road, moments from Turnham Green station and Chiswick High Road.

Local information

  • Fielding Road is situated on the northern side of Bedford Park. It is within a short distance of Turnham Green Underground station (District line). There are numerous bus routes close by including the E3 and N11 towards Ealing and Liverpool Street. This location offers easy access to central London via the A4, and via the M4 for Heathrow Airport and the west of England.
  • Chiswick High Road, famous for its boulevard-style pavements, is full of quality independent outlets and an increasingly up-market selection of high street names which run from Hammersmith through to the Chiswick roundabout. Chiswick is a great place to shop and eat. Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Marks and Spencer are all represented. Serving meat lovers are Macken Bros, Wyndham House and Ginger Pig butchers. Covent Garden Fishmongers do as their name suggests. Bayley & Sage have an amazing cheese counter and the Grove Park Deli on Fauconberg Road is also very popular. The Old Cinema provides Antique Vintage Retro Collections. Attractive fruit, vegetable and flower stalls add colour to the High Road. High Street banks, chemists, dry cleaners, beauty spas, fashion shops, off licences and general repair shops as well as many other outlets means there is no need to go elsewhere.
  • Among Chiswick's fine dining choices are Michelin-starred La Trompette on Devonshire Road and Le Vacherin on South Parade. High Road House and its Brasserie are part of the Soho House empire. Numerous high street restaurants such as Honest Burgers, Cote, Byrons and Pizza Express cater for family tastes.
  • Lord Burlington's Chiswick House is a picturesque, 18th-century Palladian mansion with gardens designed by William Kent. The birthplace of the English Landscape Movement, the gardens, with their statuary hedges and vistas, has had a £12 million makeover which includes a new café by architects Caruso St John. In recent years Chiswick House grounds have played host to Soho House group's House Festival, enticing the great and the good of the media industry with performers who are both nationally renowned and locally resident.
  • Bedford Park, London's first garden suburb, was built between 1875 and 1886 as part of the Arts & Crafts revival. Victorian property developer Jonathan Carr instructed lead architect Richard Norman Shaw (alongside EJ May, W Wilson and EW Godwin) in the building of a collection of houses and studios that now form a conservation area and are for the most part Grade II listed. Many of these houses feature elements of styling from William Morris, to whose legacy is dedicated the William Morris Society at Kelmscott House on Upper Mall.
