TDC are in the process of preparing a new Local Plan and Section 1 has been proved sound by the Planning Inspectorate. Work will now progress with Section 2. Crockleford Mill (Parcel 6) is mentioned within the EB/027 Tendring Colchester Border Concept Framework as part of a neighbourhood area of 20 hectares. The site is described as having potential for low density development of larger homes on generous plots complementary to existing development. The subject land is slightly adjacent to the land identified in the draft plan documents but we consider it worthy of promotion off the back of the proposed allocation.
