The site is bounded by Tonbridge Road to the north, Corbens Place to the east, The Vine Medical centre to the west and Phase 1 of the Corbens place development to the south. Phase 1 comprises 11 completed houses. The subject site comprises Phase 3 of the development. The site falls within the jurisdiction of Maidstone Borough Council. The property is not listed nor situated within a Conservation Area. In December 2016 the whole site (including land to the south) was granted planning permission for “Outline application (All matters reserved) for redevelopment with up to 65 dwellings and associated vehicular and pedestrian access, car and cycle parking, street and external lighting, main services, bin stores and other ancillary development” (Ref. 15/510179/OUT).
