- Situated on the northern edge of the New Forest National Park, Hamptworth is a small village surrounded by beautiful countryside which boasts a public house, The Cuckoo Inn, a golf and country club and primary school. The surrounding countryside offers a wealth of walking and riding with Langley Wood and the New Forest in the vicinity. The historic cathedral city of Salisbury lies about 11 miles to the north and offers excellent shopping and recreational facilities. The cities of Winchester and Southampton are also easily accessible and provide a further range of amenities. The village has excellent communication links with the M27 providing access to Southampton and London (90 minutes drive) and a fast, regular train link to London Waterloo from Salisbury and Southampton Parkway (70 minutes to Waterloo). There is a regional airport at Southampton. There are also a wide selection of schools in the area including Forres Sandle Manor prep school, Stroudl, Leaden Hall, Godolphin, Bishops Wordsworth and South Wilts Grammar Schools.
