About this property

  • Cherry Trees is a cul-de-sac of six large detached bungalows which is approached from the Cambridge Road. Number 7 is tucked away in one corner with a predominantly south-west facing garden which backs on to a field and the Shelford Rugby club grounds beyond.

Of dual coloured brick elevations beneath a pitched tiled roof, this spacious property provides versatile accommodation and has been the subject of a considerable upgrade by the vendors over the last 12/13 years or so. Improvement works have included new wood flooring, a re-fitted kitchen, replacement bathrooms, replacement windows where necessary and re plastering the previously artex ceilings.

The spacious reception hall with oak flooring leads via double doors to the sitting room with a fireplace and door to the rear garden with glazed panels beside. The adjacent dining room has a similar access to the garden and on the opposite side of the hall is the delightful double aspect modern kitchen/breakfast room fitted with a range of cream gloss floor and wall units, pan and larder drawers, granite worktops, a Franke butler sink and fitted appliances including a fridge/freezer, double oven, induction hob, extractor and dishwasher. This leads into the utility room with a glazed door to the garden, plumbing for washing machine, space for tumble dryer, further store cupboards and the gas fired boiler. In addition there are a study and cloakroom approached from the reception hall.

To the left of the hall is access to the bedroom “wing”. Here there are five bedrooms altogether (one of which is used as a second study at the moment) – the master suite has a double aspect including a glazed door providing direct access to the garden, wardrobes and an en suite shower room re-fitted by the vendors with a large shower incorporating hand held and drench shower fittings, tiled flooring with underfloor heating and a vanity unit incorporating shallow storage cupboards and a circular wash basin. The family bathroom has also been re-fitted again with dual shower fittings, a vanity unit with wash basin, and tiled flooring with underfloor heating.

To the front of the property is a block paved drive with parking area leading to the double garage. There are flower beds to the front of the house and a paved area beside the front door. The rear gardens are south west facing and predominantly laid to lawn with flower and shrub beds and a variety of climbers and trees.

I was really impressed with the space provided here. As soon as I walked in the front door, I realised that it is much larger than expected from the front elevation. The living areas are well designed around the reception hall, there is a modern fitted kitchen/breakfast room whilst the whole bedroom “wing” is all to one side. I would highly recommend a viewing to fully appreciate the space available in this delightful home.
