Five bedroom detached village house in cul-de-sac location with well-presented versatile accommodation.
Fisher close is a sought-after cul-de-sac of eight detached properties close to the centre of the village. Of part brick, part rendered elevations beneath a tiled roof, the property was built in 2000 and sympathetically extended in 2015/16 with the help of the architect Tim Moll. With immediate access to walks and the nearby river, the versatile accommodation provides a wonderful open-plan space to the rear linking directly to the garden together with an additional reception room (or ground floor bedroom) at the front of the house.
The hall with its study area beside the stairs leads directly to the kitchen which was re-fitted about five years ago with an unfitted range of painted units including base units, cupboards and drawers, a larder cupboard and oak worktops.
Fitted appliances include a Lacanche range cooker incorporating an electric fan oven, smaller oven with grill, convection oven and a five ring gas hob with wok fitting. There is space for a free standing fridge/freezer and a glazed door to the utility room with a butler sink, gas fired boiler, plumbing for washing machine, space for tumble dryer and door to the side.
The light-filled garden room connects to the kitchen and provides space for both sitting and dining and has wide triple glazed sliding doors and ceiling lanterns. This links directly to the sitting room with its stone fire surround and multifuel burner. The additional (front) reception room has a bay window and there is a cloakroom on the opposite side of the hall.
On the first floor, there are four good bedrooms, two with en suite shower rooms and a family bathroom. The second floor provides a guest suite of bedroom and adjoining shower room
To the front of the property is a drive with parking for a number of cars leading to the double garage housing the water softener. A path to the side leads to the first of two paved areas. The second terrace is beside the garden room and the rest of the garden is laid to lawn with a gate to a former cricket field and walks to the river and Hinxton beyond. The insulated garden workshop to one side of the garden with its mono-pitched roof has water connected and offers potential sought-after work-from-home/studio/gym space.

What a Tardis, I was really taken with the surprising amount of space here especially on the ground floor the well-designed extension links the kitchen and sitting room and provides wonderful, open-plan sitting/dining space for all the family
