About this property

  • Savills are delighted to offer for sale Little Stanpit for the first time in 37 years. Little Stanpit is a completely unique and charming residence, located on the edge of Christchurch Harbour offering a generous plot, water access and huge potential, therefore for keen gardeners and water enthusiasts alike.

The original house dates as far back as 1745 and boasts many character features. Over the decades the original house has been extended a number of times to create the 3,692 square foot house you see today. There is also a fantastic history attached to the property, but it does now require modernisation/renovation. Subject to planning and restrictions the property could be either cosmetically enhanced internally or extensively remodeled, leaving the buyer with a piece of history on the water, but with a modern living twist, which is truly very rare. The current accommodation has a real cottage feel to it but could be brought into 2022 with some careful thought and consideration.

The property has two accesses from the road providing ample parking. In addition there is a separate detached garage, which would have originally been the stable block with future potential stp. Currently there are six bedrooms, two receptions, two dining rooms, two and a half bathrooms and a super storage room. This accommodation is very versatile and could be used in numerous ways depending on the lifestyle of the intended buyer.

The circa approximately 0.5 acre plot in which Little Stanpit sits is exceptional. The rear fully walled garden offers a private space to enjoy and leads directly down to Christchurch Harbour, where the views are sensational.

To discuss the property in further depth, please contact Savills Canford Cliffs who will be more than happy to assist with any questions you may have. We believe this property needs to be viewed in person to be fully appreciated.
