About this property

  • Balmungo Farmhouse is a pretty property situated on the brow of a hill overlooking St Andrews. The house has spacious accommodation which is arranged over two floors and is conveniently located close to the town but in a rural location. The ground floor has two principal rooms which include a cosy sitting room with open fire and kitchen / dining room, both accessed from the main hallway. The kitchen is fitted with a range of units with integrated appliances and windows overlooking the garden and surrounding fields. There is plenty of space for a family dining table.

Towards the back of the house within a more modern section of the building are a double bedroom with en suite shower room and a back door to the garden.

At first floor level there are three bedrooms, a study and family bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have lovely views over the front garden and the master bedroom has exceptional and far reaching views to St Andrews and beyond.

The grounds which surround the house are beautifully presented and stocked with a variety of colourful plants and shrubs. In the front garden there is a terrace which the sun attracts throughout the day, along with a lawn and driveway beyond which links to the house by a path. The rear garden is also laid to lawn and is partially enclosed by a low hedge which provides shelter. Attached to the house is the old dairy which serves as a sheltered outdoor sitting area or potting shed.
