  • Lumbo Cottage West has a rural setting just outside St Andrews. It is adjacent to Mount Melville which is a quiet, hamlet-style location. The cottage is away from the hustle and bustle of town whilst being only 2 miles from the shops, pubs and restaurants. There is a gate beside the cottage onto the Lade Braes footpath which goes through ancient woodlands all the way into the centre of the town.
  • The cottage is opposite the 14th green of The Duke's Golf Course which can be seen through the trees. The Duke's Course is owned by Kohler Company who also own The Old Course Hotel. It is a stunning parkland course with superb views over St Andrews, renowned worldwide as the home of golf. There are seven golf courses run by The Links Trust including the Old Course, host to the 150th Open Championship in 2022.
