Detached family home sitting in over 1/3 acre south west facing gardens, spacious accommodation, garages and parking. Walking distance to the beach, pub and shop.
Hillcrest is a well-loved family home and has been enjoyed by the current owners for over 30 years. Built in 1924, the house is double fronted with well-proportioned rooms and is beautifully presented throughout, if a little dated in parts. Lovely views across the village to the sea are visible from all the principal rooms.
The ground floor offers three reception rooms, a fitted kitchen complete with oil fired Rayburn, additional hob and oven, a fridge freezer and microwave. There is also a walk in larder. To the rear of the house is a ground floor shower room and cloakroom, a rear lobby with boot and coat storage, a utility room and a room which houses the oil tank.
Stairs rise from the lovely entrance hall to the galleried first floor landing which is spacious and bright and again offers lovely views. There are five bedrooms in total arranged over the first and second floors and all are good sized doubles. There are three bathrooms on the first floor, including an en suite bathroom to the main bedroom.
Hillcrest stands in the middle of over one third of an acre gardens with level wrap around lawned boarded with mature hedging and established shrub and flower beds. To the front of Hillcrest is a full width south west facing terrace, perfect for those lazy summer evening barbecues. The gated driveway leads to parking for a number of vehicles and access to a double garage. In addition to the double garage is a double width work store that has also been used as a garage.

Thurlestone is one my favourite villages, always so much to do and lots going on. Hillcrest is a fabulous house and right in the heart of it!
