About this property

  • Roundhouse Barn was the creation of the current owners. Completed in 2006, the barn has been converted to an imaginative design and finished to high specification. Providing a unique and stylish individual home that combines character and charm with all the comforts of a modern day property. There are many lovely features throughout the well- proportioned and beautifully presented accommodation to include numerous exposed beams, oak floors, wood latch doors and an impressive fireplace with wood burning stove to name but a few.

From the entrance hall, with cloak room, doors lead to various rooms including a sitting room with stunning uninterrupted valley views and a spectacular well-appointed kitchen dining room occupying the roundhouse in which it takes its name. There are three/four bedrooms with en-suite facilities to three of them. Subject to planning there is to potential to extend the property by converting the adjoining two storey linhay if so required. Low maintenance and high thermal value with under floor heating to all ground floor rooms and double glazing all plays its part. The land, of about fifty two acres, is immediately accessible and is excellent pasture. Within the garden adjacent there is a substantial productive vegetable plot and greenhouse.

Roundhouse Barn really is a wonderful smallholding and is perfect for those who also share an affection for wildlife, flora and fauna. Whilst a series of traditional and modern barns offer the opportunity for further development subject to the necessary consents.

    THE LAND
The land is highly productive and is a mixture of level and gently sloping interconnecting arable/ pasture land. The land is made easily accessible via a service lane and is enclosed by a mixture of established hedgerows, mature trees and fencing. There is mains water to all fields as well as two spring fed ponds. In total, the grounds extend to approximately 52.7 acres. The land is currently grazed under a short term grazing licence which could be continued/discontinued as required.

    OUTBUILDINGS
The property is approached by a gated access which in turn leads to the property where there is parking, open ended carport, workshop and utility. The approaches passes a former cart shed and stable block which could be converted to ancillary/ holiday house accommodation subject to the necessary planning consents. The drive connects with the service lane in turn leading to the land and the 90x36 ft livestock barn.
