    About this property

    • Nestled in the heart of this historic Surrey village, Broome Cottage stands as an impressive and substantial period village home with grand proportions. This residence enjoys a prime, well established location, exuding a timeless elegance and charm. Under the ownership of the current family since 1981, Broome Cottage presents an opportunity for a new owner to imprint their own style on this charming period home.

The property boasts an abundance of light and space, featuring reception rooms with high ceilings that provide a sense of grandeur. The generous sized reception hall serves as the focal point, granting access to the three principal reception rooms. The sitting room, seamlessly connected to the kitchen/breakfast room, forms a comfortable and informal family hub. The kitchen/breakfast room itself leads to a utility room with independent access to the garden.

An elegant staircase rises from the reception hall to an impressive galleried first-floor landing, granting access to six bedrooms, a family bathroom, and a separate shower room. The main bedroom suite stands out with its spacious layout and scenic views over the well-maintained grounds. Additionally, there is a sizable attic room and a cellar.

The grounds, enjoying a south/south-westerly aspect, have been meticulously maintained, featuring lush lawns, well-stocked flower/shrub beds, borders, mature trees, and a paved sun terrace on the south-westerly side.

Tucked discreetly to the west side of the garden is the swimming pool, surrounded by an established hedge, along with a garden greenhouse. The property is accessed through a long driveway leading to a turning circle and parking area. A timber back gate, designed for emergency access, and a double garage complete the practical aspects of the property. The expansive grounds, extending to approximately 0.82 acres, harmonise perfectly with the character of the house.
