    About this property

    • Ingleby Green is approached via a long cypress tree-lined driveway that meanders round to an external courtyard with plenty of parking and a double garage. This stunning home was constructed in the early 1970s of brick under a tile roof in a sympathetic Georgian style. The generous family home extends to approximately 4857 square feet of accommodation and includes an impressive swimming pool complex. The property is surrounded by beautiful gardens and woodland totalling around an acre. Ingleby Green has an elevated position, designed to take advantage of the south facing aspect over the Firth of Clyde but with total privacy.

The ground floor accommodation begins with an imposing long hallway with a beautiful staircase to the first floor accommodation. The reception rooms include an elegant drawing room with focal fireplace and twin sliding doors leading into the dining room which has a door opening into the kitchen. The sitting room has dual aspect views over the garden. The well-appointed kitchen is of a bespoke design and includes a wide range of cabinets, plenty of worktop space, high quality built-in appliances including an AGA and space for dining. Off the kitchen is a utility room, larder and separate store room. The leisure wing is off the kitchen.

The first floor has five well-proportioned bedrooms with the principal bedroom benefiting from excellent built in storage and a superb en suite bathroom complete with twin wash basins, bath and shower. A roof terrace that looks over the garden is accessed from bedroom three, while bedroom two has its own access to the Jack and Jill family bathroom. There is a walk in linen cupboard and extra built in storage in the bedrooms.

The leisure wing is impressive and has a 27 foot swimming pool under an atrium roof, sauna, changing rooms, shower room and sitting area. French doors open out onto the south facing terrace and garden.

Externally there are various outbuildings including a double garage, carport, coal store, boiler room, greenhouse and garden store.

The gardens are breathtaking and are surrounded by lush green lawns, mature shrubs and large trees offering privacy and an ever-changing outlook. The lower garden has a natural pond with bridge and a fish pond with surrounding deck.
