    • Bonniebanks occupies a beautiful position within the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park which encompasses an area of around 720 square miles. Some of Britain's most spectacular scenery is found around the Loch Lomond area. The loch is actually crossed by the Highland boundary fault and the physical characteristics of lowland and highland Scotland can be seen within a few miles of each other. For sports enthusiasts the great outdoors awaits. There is superb climbing and hill walking in the area, with the Arrochar Alps including four Munros (mountains over 3000 ft) and six Corbetts, the best known of which is The Cobbler.
    • The loch is renowned for its water sports including wind surfing, sailing and excellent water skiing. There are a number of well-respected golf courses in the area including the world-famous Loch Lomond Golf Course which has hosted the Scottish Open. In addition, there is the Carrick Golf Course, which was designed by the acclaimed golf course architect, Doug Carrick.
    • The Cruin Restaurant and Bar, Duck Bay Marina and Cameron House offer a variety of dining options within walking distance.

    • Both Helensburgh and Balloch railway stations have regular train services with a journey time to Glasgow of around 40 minutes.
