Semi-detached period cottage in a delightful position.
2 Old Rowfant Cottages is a charming semi-detached Victorian cottage with enclosed gardens and off-street parking. It sits in a rural position, yet is not remote, with a number of neighbours and just two and half miles from Three Bridges station.
The property is ideal for families, with two separate reception rooms, three bedrooms and plenty of character. The stable-style front door opens to an entrance hall, with utility room/cloakroom lying off it. Ahead is a spacious, triple-aspect open plan sitting/dining room with wood flooring and a working fireplace; a door opens to the kitchen which has a range cooker and sliding doors to the covered, decked terrace. Beyond the kitchen is the dual aspect study/garden room.
There are three goodsized bedrooms on the first floor. The largest bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, fitted cupboards and lovely views across the surrounding fields. There are two further bedrooms (one with an en suite shower room) and a family bathroom with Chadder and Co fittings.
A loft room with good lighting from large roof lights is accessed from the head of the staircase by a drop down ladder. A further loft room is accessed from the study/garden room by a paddle staircase.
Outside, the property is approached via a private track from The Old Hollow, which leads up past the lake; the entrance to number 2 is the first right hand turn, which leads to the gravelled private parking.
A five bar gate opens to the gardens which wrap the house on three sides and are predominantly south-facing. The house bordered by a path, leading past the decked terrace to the front door. The gardens are fully enclosed by hedging, with an iron gate opening to the track; they are mainly laid to lawn with some mature trees and plenty of space to arrange table and chairs. About 0.17 of an acre.
Agent's Note
The track is a public footpath. 2 Old Rowfant Cottages has right of vehicular access.

What a great cottage. I love the design with its Flemish bonded brickwork and unusual glazed headers giving a lively chequered effect. There are also lovely views over the adjacent fields.
