  • Grange Lodge is reached via a shared private lane, at the end of which are the electric entrance gates which give access to Grange Lodge and Alresford Grange beyond. Together the villages of Alresford and Wivenhoe have better than average village amenities and for a far wider selection the market town of Colchester is approximately 5 miles away which also has educational and recreational facilities. The commuter can take advantage of train services from either Wivenhoe or Colchester to London's Liverpool Street Station. The main A12 dual carriageway from London through to Ipswich and the A14 gives the nearest access to Felixstowe, Cambridge and the Midlands.

  • Directions: From Colchester take the A133 to Clacton. Pass Essex University and in 1 mile turn right to Wivenhoe through traffic lights. Continue to Wivenhoe on the B1028. On entering Wivenhoe turn left at the roundabout opposite the Horse and Groom public house. After 1 ½ miles go over a railway bridge before turning sharp right onto a private lane. A sign will be seen to Alresford Grange. The entrance to Alresford Grange can be found a short distance along the private lane on the right and Grange Lodge will be seen to one side. From Ipswich take the A12 towards Colchester. Take the first slip road towards Colchester. Proceed over a roundabout and continue towards Colchester until reaching a second roundabout. Turn left through a series of mini roundabouts following the sign to the A133 to Clacton. Pass Essex University and follow the directions from Colchester.
