    About this property

    • Corriegorm has been transformed over the years from a more modest traditional building to an impressive modern country house. The property has a distinctive character with a series of arched windows running across its front between two towers.

Corriegorm is approached via a gated bellmouth entrance and its private driveway winds a few metres up the hillside to gravel parking beside the house. The front door is within a welcoming courtyard and opens into a reception hall. Immediate on the left is the living/entertaining room. This impressive and versatile room is one of the big highlights of Corriegorm. Large enough to take a full size snooker table, a dining table, a suite of sofas and a bar, it is ideal for entertaining. With the view of Loch Tay framed by multiple arched windows, it is a wonderful room to spend time in. One of the tower rooms off the living room is used as a sun room. Double glazed windows, under floor heating and a large wood burning stove ensure that these rooms are warm and comfortable in all seasons.

The kitchen at Corriegorm overlooks a sheltered terrace on the west side of the house. The kitchen has painted timber units, a four oven yellow Aga, a central island and space for a dining table. Doors from the dining area lead into the garden. Behind the kitchen are useful utility and store rooms as well as the back door. There is also an office and a study.

The master bedroom suite at Corriegorm is located in the second of the tower rooms and has one of the best views in the house. The dressing area is fitted with wardrobes and there is also a beautiful contemporary shower room. The remainder of the bedrooms are all located in the northern wing of the house where there is one particularly large en suite guest bedroom. There are four further bedrooms (two en suite) and a bathroom.

      Double Garage and studio apartment
The double garage is fitted with remote controlled doors, central heating and lighting. Above the garage is an independent studio apartment. The studio has a small fitted kitchen, a dining and seating area, a shower room and a bedroom. It also has a view over the loch.

      Summer house
The summer house is situated at the top of the garden. It has recently been constructed from structural insulated panels and it has a wonderful view. It is currently used as a gym.

      Orangery
This pretty glass house with a central workbench has potential to be a fabulous working greenhouse with a view.

      Additional outbuildings
      Stone built kennel / store
      Single garage
      Garden machinery store

      Garden and grounds
The garden at Corriegorm is a particular feature of the property. Magnolia, rhododendrons, azaleas and ferns are amongst some of the plants and shrubs that provide glorious colour in the summer. On the western side of the property the Balnearn burn flows through the garden into Loch Tay. To the side of the driveway is an ornamental pond. There are various lovely spots to sit out and enjoy the view in the summer and a hot tub adds an additional luxury to the terrace on the west of the house. A pedestrian gate at the top of the garden provides access directly onto the hillside where there are numerous walks.
