Charming detached village home

About this property

  • Nutlea is a detached stone built village home situated in the heart of the hamlet of Nutbourne. The property has been extensively renovated by the current owners and provides excellent accommodation with fantastic entertaining space. The kitchen dining area is most impressive, with underfloor heating, double height beamed ceiling and a galleried landing above. The kitchen area comprises bespoke solid wood units with central island, Aga and large larder cupboard. The adjoining dining area has flagstone floors and French doors onto the rear garden. Further ground floor accommodation consists of a sitting room with fireplace and log burner, study and utility room. The study could easily be used as a 4th bedroom, and has an adjacent shower room. An oak staircase from the dining area leads to a galleried landing which provides a useful space for a snug, study or library area. The master bedroom has a dressing room and en suite, whilst two further bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom.
Externally, the gardens extend to approximately half an acre. The rear garden is mainly lawned and bordered with mature trees and shrubs, with a patio directly to the rear of the property. A large detached timber clad workshop with attached greenhouse is approached via a brick path. To the front of the house is a delightful patio area which offers a private yet sunny additional seating area. Parking for several cars is provided by a brick paved driveway

Nutlea is a charming home in a fantastic location. I particularly love the kitchen / family room with galleried landing.
