    About this property

    • Lower Lodge is a delightful detached property offering charming characterful features blended seamlessly with light modern spaces, ideal as a permanent residence or second home.

The original building dates to 1885 and is constructed of local stone under a slate tile roof; the property has undergone significant refurbishment over the last twenty years and a contemporary extension housing the kitchen has also been added in that time.

The accommodation is centred around a wonderful living room with vaulted ceiling, Jetmaster fire and sold wood flooring. Bi-fold doors open up into the new kitchen breakfast room which is a fantastic addition with triple aspect windows and roof lantern making this a wonderful and light entertaining space. The kitchen is fitted with a range of modern units with Corian work tops; there is an induction hob fitted within the island unit and further integrated Neff appliances such as a microwave, oven, dishwasher and fridge/freezer; there is ample space for informal dining.

The property has three generous bedrooms and one good sized single although it is currently used as a study; the principal bedroom has a range of fitted cupboards, a dressing room and en suite bathroom with separate shower cubicle. A guest bedroom also has an en suite shower room, there are two further bedrooms and a modern family bathroom.

The property has pretty, private and immaculately presented gardens, they are well-established, easy to maintain and wrap around the property, there is a clear brook running though the gardens creating a tranquil feel and providing many areas to enjoy the glorious gardens.

There is parking in front of a modern and large garage with electric door; there is an extremely useful converted space above the garage which is an ideal place to work from home with plenty of natural light, space and good broadband speed.
