  • Eynsham is an historic village lying about 7 miles west of Oxford. In the Middle Ages, there was a substantial Abbey which was founded in 1005 by King Aethelred.
  • In 1538 the Abbey was dissolved by Henry VIII. The remains stood for 100 years or so, but eventually stones from the Abbey were reused to build many other houses in Eynsham.
  • The popular thriving village offers a good range of local amenities including primary and secondary schools, shops, doctors surgery, chemists, library and post office.
