Tremow Barn is a traditional farm building solidly built of stone and Delabole slate in the 1860s and converted into a modern home in 1989. (The annexe was completed in 1994). Entering through the stable door, slate flagstones and timber beams extend throughout but the interior style is strongly contemporary.

The entrance hall and cloakroom are spacious, full of natural light and lead to a large, comfortable reception room with an impressive slate hearth and stone chimney breast housing the wood burner. Next is the dining room, pleasantly light with patio doors to the front courtyard and large enough for entertaining.

The round house kitchen is impressive. Continuous curved countertop and fitted units, a central island and the four oven AGA maximise the space, while the view is stunning. Two velux skylights either side of the AGA and a stable door to the garden add more natural light to an already attractive kitchen.

Stairs rise from the hall to a snug, which, as a triple aspect room, is more open and well-lit than the name suggests and is undoubtedly a very comfortable room in which to relax.

Next is the principal bedroom with en suite shower room and walk in wardrobe area leading to a large dressing room which could also be a nursery or connected bedroom, also with en suite bathroom. The décor and fittings of each of these rooms is of high quality, sumptuous and modern.

From here a second flight of stairs leads down to the dining room.

Steps up from the kitchen go into an office, overlooking the front courtyard and adjoining the recently refurbished utility room.

Next is the first of the Linhay annexe rooms, a dual aspect reception room with glazed porch and door to the courtyard. This area feels easily integrated into the main house, but with this separate entrance can also be independent.

Two ground floor en suite double bedrooms and two additional rooms on the first floor, one of them being en suite, provide ample accommodation for guests. The smaller of these upper rooms has sloping ceilings but is well lit with velux windows and makes a very nice studio or playroom.

The larger twin bedroom, cosy under the eaves but with more headroom and its own pretty bathroom is a delightful children's room. There are good sized storage cupboards and fitted wardrobes on both floors throughout the house.

Adjoining the Linhay is a reduced capacity garage, (space having been taken for renovating indoor accommodation) large enough for storage of tools, workbench, bikes, surfboards, kayaks or a small dinghy. The boiler for the annexe is also here.

Original cobbles from the round house create a decorative courtyard alongside block paving, making a large practical space for parking several vehicles. The inner section of courtyard is a suntrap.

On the opposite side of the house a paved and pebble garden have been created and planted very beautifully with shrubs and perennials. An olive tree appears to thrive. Beside the stable door into the kitchen is a barbecue patio, west facing for evening sun.

A new water tank, and the boiler for the main house, are in an attached outhouse, next to which is a traditional feature: the original stone ramp up to the stable door into the principal bedroom.

A raised gravel walk circles the house, giving access to the rainwater tank with pump and a 1400 litre capacity oil tank.
