About this property

  • Brooklands is one of three individual homes built by Millwood Designer Homes in 2001 enjoying a tucked away position on a generous plot, accessed via a long shared private drive.

This substantial family home of approximately 4,123 sq. ft. was purchased by our clients from new and still presents well today, with a wonderful, peaceful, mature setting, very well placed for access to the southern end of the town.

The accommodation is arranged over three floors and features generously proportioned rooms with good ceiling heights, including four to five receptions, together with up to seven bedrooms, four with en suite facilities.

The impressive large kitchen/ breakfast room has doors out to the garden on the southerly side and was designed by Poggenpohl, incorporating quality appliances finished with granite worktops, slate tiled flooring and linking through to a family room/playroom. The study is fitted out with built-in furniture and both the main reception rooms open to a large conservatory to the rear overlooking the garden.

The rear garden faces south and is accessed from the kitchen, conservatory and the utility room. The garden enjoys a good level of privacy being well screened by mature trees and shrubs, with level areas of lawn, a terrace and external lighting.

A major feature of the property is the gate from the garden providing private access to Hargate Forest, an ancient area of woodland within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a popular countryside attraction with a network of paths ideal for dog walking.

The detached triple garage to the front features higher doors in the centre section and there is ample driveway space for several cars.

Location is always important and for me this is definitely true here at Brooklands! The combination of a peaceful edge-of-town setting, with immediate access into Hargate Forest for countryside walking and to the favoured south side of the town centre, a very special and historic part of Tunbridge Wells, is perfect.
