About this property

  • Fosse House is a stunning country home which offers beautifully presented and flexible accommodation. Ideally suited for both formal entertaining and family life. Set in secluded and glorious gardens of about 1.27 acres with a tennis court. This has created a highly desirable home in a semi-rural location.

On the ground floor the kitchen/breakfast room is of particular note. Designed and installed by a local craftsman. It has a comprehensive range of bespoke cabinets and drawers, integrated appliances, larder cupboard, Aga and large central island with breakfast seating. The kitchen offers space for informal dining and has French doors opening on to the attractive garden terrace. The utility/boot room has additional fitted cabinets, laundry plumbing and access to both the front and rear of the property. Adjoining the kitchen is the double aspect sitting room ideal for a cosy evening in with a good film. The elegant 23ft drawing room is double aspect with a feature fireplace and French doors opening on to the garden. The spacious dining room with views over the garden, is perfect for entertaining and connects directly to the kitchen. A study with fitted cabinetry and cloakroom complete this floor.

On the first floor the luxurious main bedroom is of particular note with chic décor, fitted wardrobes, a superb modern en suite bathroom with contemporary soaking tub and separate shower. There are four further beautifully presented bedrooms, with modern en suite shower rooms and a family bathroom on this floor.

To the front of the property gates open on to an expansive gravelled driveway flanked by beautifully maintained hedges. The drive expands into a larger area which allows parking for several cars and access to both the double and single garage. The garage is fitted with an electric vehicle charging point. Well-stocked borders combine variegated foliage and formal topiary to great effect. This has created a memorable and welcoming entrance.

To the rear of the property the full extent of the gardens can be seen. The expansive paved sun terrace has created a wonderful space for ‘al fresco' entertaining. The beautifully maintained lawn wraps around the house punctuated by flowering and feature trees. The large beds have a delightful combination of variegated foliage, texture and flowers. This ensures that views from the house and sun terrace are always appealing. The enclosed tennis court is a great addition for budding sports enthusiasts.

I just love this house and what it offers. It is beautifully presented and has the most wonderful gardens which include a tennis court. Langworthy Lane is also one of my favourite roads and is extremely picturesque. A house I recommend viewing in person.
