  • Queens Gardens has an enviable setting just off South Street in the centre of St Andrews. It is a terrace of period houses which overlooks gardens on the opposite side of the one way street and with St Andrews Episcopal Church at its end. It is close to the University, shops, bars and restaurants and just a short walk from the world famous Old Course and the West Sands beach.
  • St Andrews is renowned worldwide as the ‘Home of Golf'. There are seven golf courses under the management of the St Andrews Links Trust, including the Old Course, which played host to the 150th Open Championship in July. There are many other golf courses in the area including the Duke's Course, St Andrews Bay, Kingsbarns, and Dumbarnie and traditional links courses at Elie and Crail.
  • St Andrews is also well known for its university which is one of the oldest in Britain, founded in 1413.
