The Antiga Fábrica do Prado now gains a new life by the hand of Qualive which, from a rehabilitation project, is transforming this industrial heritage into one of the trendiest condominiums in Matosinhos. Designed with families and professionals in mind who aspire to live a few steps from the beach without losing the advantages of proximity to the city center.
Evoking ancient Portuguese construction techniques typically found in industrial installations, but using the most modern techniques and solutions of the 21st century, there will be recreated some of the most striking elements of the building's past, such as red brick masonry walls and vaulted ceilings filled with brick arches, as well as the old wooden frames and exterior grilles.
The rehabilitation project will maintain the original facade of the factory and thus preserve its character by adding bright gardens in the south, east and west wings of the building.
